Inspector's notes

There was no paper towel in the women's restroom. Observed a customer using a t-shirt to dry their hands. Discussed with person in charge (PIC) that all hand washing sinks need an approved hand drying provision. PIC restocked the paper towel at time of inspection. Handwash sinks must be supplied with hot water of at least 100°F, soap and an approved hand drying provision at all times. Facilities must be maintained in a condition that promotes handwashing. PIC provided hand drying provision for handwash sink at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection. 5-205.11 - Priority Foundation: Using a Handwashing Sink-Operation and Maintenance. Addl Notes: Observed the hand wash sink behind the front counter with a large trash bin in front of it. Also observed that the hand wash sink in the stockroom was blocked by buckets and totes. Discussed with person in charge (PIC) that all hand wash sinks need to be easily accessible at all times to encourage frequent hand washing. PIC coached employees and unblocked the hand sinks at time of inspection. PIC relocated all items blocking hand wash sink at time of inspection. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
