#51 — Plumbing Installed; Proper Backflow DevicesPriority foundation5-205.12

Inspector's notes

-- At mop sink, observed a hose connected to an Atmospheric Vacuum Breaker (AVB) with a water supply line directly feeding a chemical dispenser. Reviewed hazards with the person in charge: AVBs should never directly feed a chemical dispenser because chemical dispensers create continuous pressure, causing AVBs to fail and creating a high-health-hazard cross-connection. AVBs are designed for intermittent use, and they must have their outlet open to the atmosphere. The manager disconnected the hose at the time of inspection. Ensure employees are reminded to never leave a hose on with constant pressure. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.

Discussed with PIC that empty "display only" bottles could be placed in the cooler to advertise the product. Please ensure cold held TCS food items are maintained at 41*F or below.
