#43 — In-Use Utensils; Properly StoredCore3-304.12

Inspector's notes

Cups without handles being used for scooping of peanuts. 3 different sized cups with different dollar amounts used for scooping peanuts, none of them had handles. Discussed how handles must be kept out of the food product with PIC and that if a utensil has no designated handle, every side could be considered the handle. Please use utensils that have handles to scoop the peanuts. Also please ensure the utensils or cups also continue to meet food contact equipment standards of being easily cleanable, durable, non-porous, non-absorbent, and durable. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.
