Inspector's notes
Observed a door with a peeling door seal strip in the ice cream aisle. Due to inadequate sealing, the top shelf had large ice crystals built up, and the ice cream had softened slightly. Also, observed a second door in the frozen section, which was not self-closing causing light condensation to build up on the internal products. The manager placed a work order in for the doors at time of inspection. Proper repair is required. Physical facility must be maintained in good repair at all times. Repair physical facility prior to next routine inspection. Corrective Action: Correct prior to next routine inspection.

Inspector's notes
Observed a cold holding case with dairy-based dips (50°F), salsa (50°F) and pico de gallo (51°F) cold holding above 41°F. The unit was reading 47.6°F with the min/max. Also observed another cold holding unit near the deli holding fruit trays (50°F), cheese (51°F), Cobb salad(51°F), and seafood snacks (50°F) cold holding above 41°F. That unit was reading 46.9°F with the min/max thermometer. Thermometers were calibrated with staff at time of inspection. All Time Temperature for Safety foods that had been in the unit for more than 6 hours were discarded (see embargo). All TCS foods improperly cold held were discarded by PIC at time of inspection. The manager placed a work order in for both cold holding units at time of inspection and told staff to stock alternative cold units with the saved product. Adequate refrigeration is available to operate safely. After a discussion with the person in charge, it has been determined that the root cause of the violation was a verification breakdown in the fast alert system, which resulted in the violation. Corrective Action: Corrected at time of inspection.
